Ivo Brigadoi

Born in 1977 in Predazzo (Tn), graduated in 2000 at the “Bonporti” Conservatory of Trento with Lorenzo Corbolini. While studying, he attends masterclasses with David Geringas and Mario Brunello. He also studied chamber music with Piernarciso Masi and the European Stringteachers Association and won the third prize in the international competition “Città di Cortemilia” with Manuela Vettori (clarinet) and Federica Marini (piano).
After completing his diploma, he devotes himself to the quartet formation and attends the Ludus Quartet chamber music courses at the Bolzano and Trento Conservatory, but also at the Fiesole Music School (Andrea Nannoni and Piero Farulli). Since then, he has been conducting concerts with the Ludus Quartet throughout Italy.
In the duoformation with the pianist Marco Longo, he received the first prize in the 5th edition of the “Concorso di esecuzione musicale di Riccione” and the “Nuovi Orizzonti” of Arezzo, the 2nd prize in the national competition “Liburni Civitas” and the 3rd prize in the “Luigi Nono”. In this formation, he has been performing for many years in many European cities and received the diploma in the “Trio di Trieste” college and in the piano academy of Imola.
For several years now, he has played with the “Orchestra Mozart”, “Divino Sospiro”, the Ensemble “Conductus” and the Ensemble “Corelli” (thanks to whom he has collaborated with importants directors and soloist) and teaches cello in the music schools of Trentino.

Alexander Monteverde

Alexander Monteverde was born in Bolzano (Italy) in 1975. He graduated in 1999 from Conservatory “Bonporti” in Trento, and he took advanced violin courses with professors Giuliano Carmignola, Alberto Martini, and Cristiano Rossi. In 1998 he started studying viola and attended master classes of professors Yurij Bashmet, Antonello Farulli, Jurgen Kussmaul, and Danilo Rossi.

In June 2001 he performed as a soloist with Hayden Orchestra from Bolzano and Trento. At the same time he graduated viola with highest honors.

In 2001 he was the lead viola in Italian Youth Orchestra, where he collaborated with Claudio Abbado, Yurij Ahronovitch, Gabriele Ferro, Carlo Maria Giulini, ZubinMehta and Gianandrea Noseda. He took advanced classes in Fiesole with professorAntonello Farulli and was in string quartet master class lead by professors PieroFarulli and Andrea Nannoni.

In 2003 he was the prime candidate in a first viola assistant audition for The Youth Orchestra from Rome of the foundation Cassa di Risparmio di Roma.

In 2004 he won the Geminiani competition in Verona and was awarded a 1970 Celeste Farotto viola for a two-year use. At the moment he is collaborating with: the chamber orchestra I Filarmonici from Verona, Haydn Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra from Savona, Zandonai Ensemble from Trento, and Respighi Ensemble from Bologna. Currently he is studying at the International Music Academy of Pinerolo (Torino) with professor Danilo Rossi.

He is the founder of the string quartet Ludus, which mostly performs in the northern part of Italy.

Ivo Crepaldi

Born in Bolzano (Italy) on May 6th 1976 he begins the study of the violin at the Academy of Music“Claudio Monteverdi” in Bolzano with Prof. Francesco Turra (vocal leader of the second violins of the “Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento”). He continues his studies at the Academy of Music ”F.A. Bonporti of Trento” with Prof. Alberto Martini. He reaches his diploma in Summer 1999 with the final grade of 9,5/10 points. In the same year he has several performances as soloist, presenting e.g. Mozart A Dur concert Kv. 219 and Bach’s 5th Brandenburg Concert.

In 1998 he is acting in Milan with the “Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali”. In 1999 he passes the entrance examination for the International Academy of Music of Novara (Italy). He specializes his violin under Prof. Maja Yokanovich (Prof. from the University of Belgrad). In 2000 he is joint founder of the “Ludus” string quartet as first violin.

In 2001 he passes the trial play at the Orchestra of the “Toscanini foundation of Parma” for the “Mythos” Postgraduate Study with specialization in Solo- and Orchestra performance. This study is awarded the EU recognition. He finishes the studies in October 2003 with excellent results. Within this study he improves his skills with Eugene Sarbu, a distinguished soloist and winner of the “Paganini” award in 1978.

In 2002 at the Academy of Music of Bolzano he specializes in string quartet with Prof. Andrea Repetto(Viola of the “Quartetto di Torino”) and with Prof. Milan Skampa, Prof. McGuire and Prof. Andrea Nannoni. Subsequently he is accepted together with his string quartet at the International Academy of Music of Fiesole (Florence, Italy) at Prof. Nannoni and especially at Prof. Piero Farulli (Viola of the “Quartetto Italiano”).

Within this Music school in 2003/2004 he takes also lessons under Giulio Franzetti. In June 2004 he participates at the trial play of the ensemble “Accademia I Filarmonici” of Verona (Italy) and reaches as the only one the acceptance. He works continuously with several orchestras, e.g the “Haydn” orchestra, the “Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali” of Milan, the “Toscanini” orchestra of Parma, and also string ensembles like the “Accademia I Filarmonici” of Verona, the “Ensemble Zandonai” of Trento and the “Conductus” of Merano.

He is working as Teacher at the School of Music in Silandro (Italy). He keeps on playing as first violin at the Ludus Quartett. He improves his skills continuously under Prof. Eugene Sarbu and Prof. Stefano Paganini.

Curriculum Ludus Quartet

The Ludus Quartet was created in 2001 when the members met professor Milan Skampa, Andrea Nannoni and Huge Meguire, the guest artists at the advance string quartet course led by professor Andrea Repetto in Bolzano. Quartet had advanced guidance from professor Alberto Martini in Verona and attended string quartet classes with professors Piero Farulli and Andrea Nannoni at the School of Music at Fiesole. Ludus participated at the Europe String Quartet Academy in Fiesole, where the members were able to meet some of the world’s most famous string quartet performers such as Hatto Beyerle (Quartetto Alban Berg), Norbert Brainin (Quartetto Amadeus), Piero Farulli (Quartetto Italiano), and Milan Skampa (Quartetto Smetana). It works in partnership with many other musicians in order to be able to propose performances as a quintet as well as sextet. The repertoire includes considerable variety of quartets, from classical to contemporary works. The Ludus quartet has been awarded with the 2. price in the international contest “Marco Fiorindo” (Turin). In February 2006 the quartet has won the 1. price and received a special award in the national contest “Rospigliosi”(Pistoia). The range of activity of the Ludus quartet covers whole Italy.

 

Andrea Ferroni

Andrea Ferroni ist seit 1998 Konzertmeister und Solist des Kammerorchesters “Complesso Corelli”, das 1966 in Borgo Valsugana (Tn) gegründet wurde. Er übt mit dem “Corelli” in Italien und im Ausland rege Konzerttätigkeit aus. Nach dem Diplom im Konservatorium von Trient nimmt er an Perfektionskursen der “Fondazione A.Toscanini” von Parma teil und arbeitet dabei mit international bekannten Dirigenten und Solisten zusammen.
Er bildet sich darauf mit Massimo Quarta im Konservatorium von Lugano (Schweiz) weiter . Seit 2003 spezialisiert er sich im Bereich der antiken Musik auf originalen Barockinstrumenten. Zwischen 2005 und 2007 besucht er den filologischen Barockgeigenkurs im Konservatorium von Verona mit Stefano Montanari und organisiert seit einigen Jahren eine Masterclass mit Enrico Onofri.
Seit 2004 ist er Dozent in der Musikschule “Jan Novak”von Villalagarina (Tn)

Curriculum Ludus Quartet

 

Im Jahre 2001 aus der gemeinsamen Leidenschaft entstanden, sich dem schwierigen Repertoire des Streichquartetts in der Begegnung mit international bekannten Kammermusikern, wie Milan Skampa, Andrea Nannoni und Hugh Meguire, im Rahmen des Postgraduate Studiums für Streichquartett unter der Leitung von Andrea Repetto zu widmen. Das Repertoire umfasst klassische, romantische, aber auch zeitgenössische Werke. Das Quartett pflegt auch andere Formationen im Bereich der Kammermusik wie das Duo und Quintett. Im Jahre 2002 hat es eine Finalistenstelle im nationalen Wettbewerb für Kammermusik „Luigi Nono“ (Turin) erlangt. Im Jahre 2005 ist es mit dem 2.Preis im Internationalen Wettbewerb „Marco Fiorindo“ (Turin) ausgezeichnet worden. Im Februar 2006 hat das Quartett den 1.Preis und eine Sonderpreisauszeichnung im Nationalen Wettbewerb „Rospigliosi“(Lamporercchio) erhalten. Il 2014 nimmt es einen CD mit dem Streichquartett Nr.3 op.7 von Fr.A.Hoffmeister auf. Dieses Streichquartett ist bereits nie aufgenommen worden. Die Konzerttätigkeit des Ludus Quartetts umfasst ganz Italien. Das Ludus Quartett hat sich mit Alberto Martini in Verona und später mit Piero Farulli und Andrea Nannoni an der Musikschule von Fiesole (Florenz) im Meisterkurs für Streichquartettausbildung fortgebildet. Es hat im Jahre 2002 an der Europäischen Akademie für Streichquartett in Fiesole teilgenommen, die von den weltbekannten Quartettisten wie Hatto Beyerle (Alban Berg Quartett), Norbert Brainin (Amadeus Quartett), Milan Skampa (Smetana Quartett) und Piero Farulli (Quartetto Italiano) abgehalten wurde.
